Anyone notice the lag on EBFD lately.  I thought it was just me with my cable outages that had a problem.  But on a whim i talked to a few people.  We all said that its taking a while between when you choose the number of players for a skirmish and when the pregame chat screen comes up.  Everyone there had cable or dsl

I made two games lately that had living world and both games everyone disconnected from, Not just me, not just someone else, everyone

I think ww is limiting the bandwidth of ebfd to free up more for other games.  Games that usually require dedicated server ("cough" renegade "cough")

Is this before or after the game starts? Because once it starts you are no longer connected to WW.

The lag before game is when i push the ok button for hosting 4 players.  I usually wait for about 10 seconds now.  Occasionally it goes straight thru.  I asked around and others say the same thing.  I got cable, and noone i asked had a 56k, so whats up??

We had one game that had lag and everyone got disconnected simultaneously, dunno why, it wasn't "out of sync" error or anything like that

Hmm I noticed the same yesterday (about 8 pm, 25 apr. GMT). Everyone had high pings including me. While I have a dsl connection. But it is not the first time I have problems there...

How did you get in then?

However you can click on the forget password link with the login prompt. There will be send automatically an email to you with the password :)

But back to topic:

I forgot to notice that a modem doesn't matter that much for lag, if it has a GOOD connection. But bad connections happen more times with modems then with cable/dsl, so that's the reason modems have a bad name...
