Help with wol abreviations and game speed

Hi can anyone please tell me why when playing online the game is like in slow motion ?

also where can I learn all the abreviations used to chat ?

Well just make sure the other players have graphics on low as well. :)

Plus make sure you aren't downloading anything while playing.

make sure on the thingy were u can turn to highest or lowes5t pick lowest !

And for abbreviations,I think there was a thread on this forum that provided all the short forms you need.

Read the 'Emperor Essentials' thread, there's a link to the 'wol abbreviations and online acronyms' thread but i doubt people use things like 'mbk' often ("mother behind keyboard") :O

Post number 4 in The Newbie Guide has an online acronyms/commands section with things that are used more often on WOL. (also contains some nice statistics if you need them)

I was surprised how many people didn't know about the Dune site and other sites.

Another thing that puzzles me is why nearly everyone on wol seems to want to play the Fishers plain map all the time ?

Is it so special ?
