Already possible. Use the BattleLAN program to enter in the necessary IPs. Then host a game through LAN and play a 4v4, 3v3, 2v2v2v2 or whatever. :D

No no no you foolish gerbil.

You see this program converts the LAN system into a fake WOL as it were. Only the members that have their IPs entered into the program will be able to join of course. If WOL ever gets shutdown for real, all we need to do is hook up a comp with a fairly good connection and this prog with all the players' IPs and hey presto! A new WOL in which 4v4s are possible. :)

but anyway, ap, is this still feasable considering that not many people have super computers and a g9 connection. im guessing that this was only done for LAN for a reason....

56k connection on a resonable computer with all settings on low will still run perfectly well with 8 players.

Yes it is possible to play up to 8pl with the battle lan program

Follow the instructions in the emperor essentials thread to set it up
