What About My System?

guys.. im really deprest (BAAD ENGLISH!!!) about my system.. i mean, i saw a movie about eve of destruction mod for BF1942 and it.. well in that movie i was amazed about the speed it loaded the game.. and now BF1942 loads really slow over here.. and i cant say it works smooth.. tell me what do i need for better loading and smoother gameplay?[attachment archived by Gobalopper]

yep. Besides, the Intell is nice but will also need more RAM then your current amount and you will need a new motherboard.

It doesn't say in your Dxdiag output what type of RAM you have. You should get the highest speed DDR memory that your motherboard supports. That may mean that you have to replace your existing memory if it is a slower speed. Also your sound chip, Avance AC97, is crap which I am almost sure is the cause of your speed problems. I just bought a new motherboard with that exact same sound chip on it. I tried it out to see how it would perform. My games ran choppy as hell with an XP2000, just like you have. I disabled the onboard sound chip and plugged in an old SBlive value and my performance was dramatically improved.

sound? u gotta be kidding.. u mean if i replace the sound card with another one like soundblaster or something.. will games load faster or perform faster?

You most definitely want to replace that onboard sound chip. It has no hardware buffer which can slow down a lot of the newer games.

think about this the sound card has its own units instead of take it from ur onboard and that realses more ram to play games get a sound blaster 5.1 live or a audigy

YAY! guys i just bought 256 MG of more RAM and now all games work GOOD!!! BF1942 loads in 3 seconds!!!!!! yay! ::)
