I agree with mord. If not for the release of the pics nobody would have believed the US. I'd bet anything that all the hypocritical bleeding hearts would be piling up their conspiracy theories right now if not for the release of the photos.

Some of them are already. Personally I don't believe anything the US government says on principle.

I said it was "low" because it is when the US had a soldier's body being shown dragged through the streets it protested the images being shown. This is not about showing the Iraqi people that Saddam will not be back. Anybody with any sense knows that Saddam will not return to power in Iraq. If the Iraqi people are that scared of "shadows" then that is their fault. The US has never been a country to use such tactics that are "degerading" to themselves showing those photos are "degarading" to what moral frabic that is left. I do not believe it why all of a sudden now your going to accommodate the Iraqi people and how they feel.

These aren't soldiers we're talking about, they're Hussein's sons. Do you have any idea how many Iraqi soldiers the US has killed? Or any idea how many Iraqi officials they've killed? They've shown two bodies out of thousands. Iraq killed smalle groups of US soldiers and showed them on TV as an example.

EDIT : If you need a comparison it would be like Iraq killing Dick Cheny and Colin Powell.

Udai and Qusay were not model Iraqi leaders and neither is their father but showing their boodied bodies after they are killed is in no way a help to anything. If the physche of the Iraqi people is that fragile that they fear them returning then all the photos in the world would not help them. If this savagery is what is called "justicfication" then the US is no better than Saddam who they now hunt. These are the same tactics that other leaders use namely "dictators".

CNN has had specials about their reporters' times on the front lines, with warning of graphic content. Trust me, we've shown far more than two bodies.

They proove that two of the most evil men in modern history is dead... ?

The iraquis are not the same people as us in the Western World. For them, pictures of their dictators do mean relief. And no, the US didn't do it to "justify", they put the pictures up to proove that Saddam's sons, who also would succeed their father, are dead.

Proof was needed because of what you think the Iraqi people are that scared of their former "leader". You say they are worried that Saddam will return just what would he have returned to and how would he have returned? Those pictures are nothing more than propaganda in it's true form hidden from the masses even as they see them with their own eyes. Those photos have little to do with Iraqi people outside of the fact they are their former "leaders". If it was so important that the Iraqi people see them why did the rest of us have to see them as well? I have no doubts as to the outcome I understand the political mechanics at work.

1. The images of the dead Hussein brothers are in fact for the demoralization of Saddam Hussein himself not for the reassurance of the Iraqi people.

2. If it was that important why not show the images after the bodies have been cleaned with only the faces to be seen. Why show the dead Hussein brothers before (after they have been killed) and after (after their autopsies have been performed).

These are the reasons I stated before that the act of showing the images is "low" and "degrading". Are Americans a savage and barbaric society that has no regard? Is this the new reality TV at it's infancy? What is next live broadcast of soldiers in conflicts being shot and killed beamed live into your residence?

All they had to do was give the ok to release the images and let the "media" do what they do best and their work is done. Trust them, those images do not say trust them those images say this is what happens when you do not cooperate. You believe what someone has told you to believe and I will believe what I know. Remember all is "fair" in war. Do not fool yourself elephant is wonderful creature but elephant dung does have repulsive odor.

Once again the images are for the demoralization of Saddam period.

It wouldn't be demoralizing for Saddam, he can almost be compared with Hitler and if a country shot down one of Hitler's son (If he even cared about his family ::) )

He would bombard the country until their Economic and infrastructure comes crawling out.

That's what they did! They released the images to the media. The images aren't meant to say 'trust us', they're meant to say 'you don't have to trust us because HERE'S THE PROOF'!
