Well, I can see that I need to read up on the Warhammer universe because I never even heard of Warhammer until I saw this game previewed. It looks awesome, though, and I really like how FINALLY an RTS creator sees how ridiculous it is that ten soldiers with regular machine guns can actually kill a tank (C&C Generals and Red Alert 2 come to mind).

:) Hi, Gzakiller. Long time. I don't play Emperor anymore because WOL is dead. I play Generals now, and I'm waiting for Warhammer 40K to come out this Fall. I still really miss Emperor, though. It's still the best RTS ever made.

Hey, nice to see you too, Ace. :) You are still one of my Emperor idols, even though I haven't played the game in a long, long time. I sure wish you were playing Generals, because your micro skills would be awesome there, too.

:) Yes, Brennq, YOU can stop virtually all rushes because YOU are one of the best Emperor players ever. My point is that people like me, who don't get to play as often as some of you great players, or who aren't quite as talented at micro, hotkeys, etc., find Atreides the most difficult house for fending off a rush. Sure, turrets are great IF you can place them in the right place at the right time; otherwise, you better be damned efficient. The best players ARE, while the rest of us ARE NOT. Nav could never do it either, because despite all his bragging he never became good enough to stop top players' rushes, hence his constant harping on the 3-minute "rule."

Nice post, Harkdawg. Nav, Emprworm WAS one of the best TEAM players in the game.

I agree with Nav. I never used any of these stupid units, with the exception of the ornithopter. If I was clearly winning the game I might have purchased a few ornis, but they just weren't worth it in a competitive game. As for the sonic tank, it has not good use against a good player. Spend your money on Fedaykin instead.

??? I recently had to reformat my hard drive. Since reinstalling Emperor, I can't even log in to play online. How do I get to the new server, XWIS?

I have Call of Duty. :) I haven't tried it in multiplayer, but I've finished all the USA missions, and I'm on the British missions. Awesome game. In some ways it is better than MOHAA, especially in the way your squadmates actually help you and fight effectively by your side. On the other hand, that beach mission in MOHAA is a real classic that will stand the test of time. I recommend Call of Duty to everyone who likes a great FPS game. The only FPS game I would recommend more highly is the No One Lives Forever series. If you have the money, get both. NOLF and NOLF2 are cheap right now, and they are fantastic too.

One more thing I need to get straight, guys: If the whole clanwars ladder system relies on the loser reporting a loss, how the hell do you play ONLY people who are registered with clanwars? With my limited playing time between job and family, I just want to play, not spend hours trying to set up games with other clanwars people. I really don't see how this is gonna work, guys. If only EA would have copied the Emperor clan ladder and implemented it in Generals. Those were the days, huh, guys? Man, I really miss the hay days of Emperor. :'(

Whoa! You actually mean all clanwars.cc games have to be on CUSTOM? Sure, the advantage of custom games is you make your own games and you use your favorite map and settings, but it also allows for cheat maps and other problems. Of course, now that EA flattened all the old reliable USA maps, such as Heartland Shield, there really is no great USA map to exploit. Is there a rule that the custom game settings have to be on official maps and with quickmatch settings, or is it wide open? I'm not sure about this setup, but I'll give it a try. Just understand that since USA is the weakest side and EA is taking forever to make a patch, I may not be winning more than 60% of my games for awhile. In regular Generals, I was winning about 80% of my games, but the balance in Zero Hour is totally screwed up right now. Oh, and by the way, I think most of the former Emperor greats long ago went to Warcraft III, not Generals. If I didn't prefer tanks, planes, etc. to orcs and elves, I'd be in WCIII too, since Blizzard does a much better job with its games than EA does.

When I go into Quickmatch setup, can I designate Clanwars.cc as the ladder site? My real question is, how does the Clanwars ladder keep track of wins/losses? Is it all based on whether people report their loss or not? If so, that's too flimsy a setup for me.

OK, I created my clan name: -EmP-TAQWA11 I also registered with clanwars.cc Now what? Do I actually have to report every win and loss? How does it work? There is no -EmP- clan listed in clanwars. I hope it's not too much hassle, or it won't be worth doing. Give me some info, guys.

Ok, I'm interested. Some of you may not know me, but all the old greats like Acelethal, Earedil, Emprworm, Elite47, etc. know me because I played Emperor from the very beginning and I was a regular voice on these forums until Emperor was abandoned by Westwood/EA and Generals came out. If I were to be accepted and join your clan, how should the EmP appear by one of my names?

Well, who wants to be part of the ED clan? Just like nobody would want to be part of a clan called "The Cyrenius Family." It just sound really dumb. "Hi, my name's Ed. I have a clan." LOL. SPECIAL Ed, maybe. EDO sounds cool, even if you don't know what the acronym stands for. Anyhow, keep the clan name "ED" if you want. I'm nobody to tell you what to do. Just offering my opinion. EB4DO would be kinda cool, don't you think? :D

But isn't the clan EDO, not ED? ED looks kinda dumb, doesn't it?
