I think Dune RPG sounds awesome! but you can't turn Dune 2000 engine into a RPG game. Each game genre got their own engine. Let's have a look at Doom 3 and they use id Tech 4 to build a game, storyline and weapons but you can turn FPS into FPS/RPG like Strife. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strife_(video_game) Strife was the first FPS/RPG game enter into the market but the engine was uses Doom engine(id Tech 1). I don't know what kind of RPG game you want to create. Edit: you can't create RTS/RPG game because they are different genre imo. Sorry about that :(. Hope this helps.

ok, retronline_dune2000 is ok bt could be better. I have played with experience players before. I realize they are too quick for me :( but it would be better to play with my friend so i will practice hard untill i get better :D it was interesting experience which is i have never done in multiplaying before. Thanks for all your help, guys. cheers : D

Yes, I did but if I start Dune 2000 LAN, I can't see the players. I have try connected between my two computers and they can see each other but it's refuse to make it work on internet. I also have try turn the firewall on/off and try custom firewall configuration. I'm kind of running out the ideas. :( I could provide some proof for you.

Sorry for the delay. I'm happy to give you some details. Here's what I did. I got two computers. one is got Windows XP and the other one is got Windows 7. I download Dune 2000 (no movies pack) from the internet to try on windows XP (sorry, guys. warez is not allowed :( ) I have installed LAN patch and 1.06 patch as well. When I done that, I clicked on LAN button and I can't see any players. And it didn't work so I got my own original copy of Dune 2000 to install on windows XP and I did the same thing. Any ideas?

hey, I have a trouble to play on mulltiplaying with other people. Bugger, I just reading Ismaw34's post and have that similar problem as well. Any ideas how to make it work? EDIT: I have try turn the firewall off and still no luck anybody help? maybe I should read tutorial again. EDIT2: ok, I just watched the tutorial video and got everything right but not much dune 2k players out there :(

My first attempted was when I run dune 2k on windows 7, I had a similar problem like N.Kindt http://forum.dune2k.com/topic/19636-dune2k-high-resolution/?p=380584 and my second attempted was (which is I done it today) I have installed a 1.06v patch on it and it's looks really good but smaller Here's a screenshot Maybe, I could run a couple test on my computer to get into fullscreen. I watched a couple of your video and found it is very interesting to learn. Thanks for your awesome tutorial video. Hope I will make a mission in the future. ;) Edit: I forgot to add. Is anybody planning to add a new feature like add IPv6 to dune games? I will create a tutorial "How to configuring IPv6 address" and maybe, someone who already know how to do it.

Awesome! That's a good news. My computer is x64 and can run x86 program on it but it got weird screen resolution. I will looking forward to look some interesting topics form here. ;) And definitely, we can play together dune 2k online :D Cool, I can make my own missions but what about make my own multiplayer map? What's the best map editor to make mission and multiplayer map?

Hey everybody, I didn't see introduction yourself forum. So, here it goes. I'm Morphosis and am a huge fan of Dune 2 and Dune 2k. I enjoy playing Dune 2k since I was a kid. I had been playing skirmish and mission game a lot of time but never play with other people online game. :( I really like to get back and play it again :D Is there any news about Dune 2000 could run on windows 7?
