Map Editor beta problem

Hello everybody, i had a problem with the map editor, i wonder or you maybe could help me...

I have done the tuturial, followed all instructions, but... when it says that i can start the game and play, i start the game, but it is not in the list of maps! ??? :( i have followed the instruction ten times or so, and i looked in help(where i din't find even my problem!). Maybe you guys can help me out...

Just figured out something, i can't open maps from map paks 2, maybe the wrong folder or something, but in what must the maps be placed than?

i figured out how a month or so earlier.

Ok are you talking about the official map packs or your own maps? What do your directories look like then?

Ok, I think this should work:

place your maps at:

[directory where you installed the map editor]datamaps

You can find those 6 tutorial maps there also.

I did it this way and I can see my map(s)

Ok, I know how to use the Official Map Editor, but every time I save (I save under "C:/Westwood/Data/Maps/MyMapName".  I've tried to put the files in different folders but nothing works.  Please help!?!? :O

What is the folder of your map editor?

If it is installed like this: C:Program FilesEmperor Map Editor, then you should place the maps in:

C:Program FilesEmperor Map EditorDataMaps

WW designed the patch 1.09 that way that it search for the folder from the map editor and then datamaps. There is where Emperor search for maps

Ok, I think I figured it out.  Harkonna, is your game updated to version 1.09 because without that patch you can't play any fan made maps.

I believe so, otherwise i updated, and a day later another update released ;D i'll check, but the problem has already been found, i need the map packer, 2 create .txt files for my maps, but there is 1 site where they have it some1 says, but i can't find it there, and than they have it on this site, but server's down, so as long as the server is down here i can't play my map, that is really f*cked up man....
