Although heraldic imagery of the snake is somewhat different, it's not uncommon for people to associate the snake with treachery, greed, and ignobility. Coincidence is a posssibility, especially, as pointed above, due to the fact that the charges are common.And they represent the 'houses', do they not? And the lone 'H' is often referred to in the novels... though the 'never wake a sleeping dragon' bit, granted, is not Dunic.If there are more 'coincidences', however, I would sway for causation.
