Cheating...

Yes in a stupid attempt to stop five million threads about cheating I have started one for everyone to discuss their views on cheating.  How to stop it, how to forgive those that do, and to establish who really is cheating.  Okay, go ahead, let's see how far this goes before a lock.

I am newbie on internet, and not exactly good. i get rushed everytime, but i am not such a wimpy loser that i am gonna cheat after that, i just think "i maybe lose now, but i will get better"

i have been accused of cheating, because some guy only had 4 snipers and i 4 saws and 1 assault and an infantry mob going for him.

Eh, after playing so many FPS games and being called a cheater in almost every one of them (AvP2 for the most part... I can't go into a server and leave without being called a cheater at least once) I know that the fact that they exist pretty much degrades the whole concept of internet gaming.

I'm not as annoyed about people using them against me, than I am the people who think I cheat when I actually don't. If anything, you can just leave the server with the cheater in it. In most cases you can leave the server you're in if you're called a cheater, although it's happened to me enough to know that no matter what I'm gonna be called a cheater.

Basically, I'm just ranting because all this month I've had cheating accusations thrown at me nonstop and it's seriously getting annoying... You wouldn't believe some of the stuff I've had to deal with

Now to constructive discussion:

I completely fail to empathise with cheaters. I see that they must be doing it to make themselves feel skilled, or powerful (or others to consider them thus) - but I cannot imagine what that would feel like.

The biggest reason that people cheats is...

"They want to piss people off."

One of the middle common reasons....

"They feel the surge of skills and power like Nema said."

"They want advantage over no cheating people."

One of the few reasons....

" They want to detect other cheaters. Expose other clan's of cheating etc. "

" They use cheats against other cheaters. Making it a more of a modified game with hacked extra's. "

So what's your point? It's common sense that these are some of the reasons, but what is the point...It's been told over and over again about them, kind of seems to useless to say it once again.

The point is, cheating ruin's the whole bloody game. Maybe it is fun playing against other cheaters with cheats stated above.

Cheats simply "Ruins" realistic games in example WW2 game Day of Defeat (Halflife)

Counterstrike, Medal of Honor. And alot of other realistic shootem ups.

Hi again, guys!

I know some people who cheat just because they think it's more fun than playing normally. But they don't cheat while playing OTHER PEOPLE - that's just stupid!
