This is sort of like, DukeLeto's thread. I am a Athiest, I will always be a Athiest. Now if one more person tries to tell me I'm going to hell for doing so then let it, hell awaits.

My personal opinion is that if God wants to send me to hell for fully living and enjoying my life then well, hes not someone or something or some being (Whatever s(he,it) is) that I would like to worship. Further more, I will not believe in him until he comes knocking on my door.

Moral is: Stop trying to get me into relegion, I'm staying Athiest and not being a slave to the Church, and well if it's true...See ya in hell, beers are on me!

I can't imagine a god that doesn't accept people into heaven who choose reason and logic and think for ourselves, as opposed to what religion teaches and is. So if I go to hell for thinking for myself, then I don't want to be in a heaven with that god.

TMA, I just HAVE to comment here:

And they may answer that they bow to your biased opinion... It's not biased by their standard so you cannot just come and say to them it's "obviously" biased or they could answer the same thing to you!

So what you said seems to be non-acceptance more than anything, which is I believe incorrect (no offense, I just think that in your own beliefs Jesus accepted others from different places/ideas). The only objective of what you said seems more to insult and provoke anger than anything.

Shall we be Christians, Atheists or else, shouldn't we accept that others may act incorrectly by our own standards??

(my 2 cents: what you said just seemed so negative to me)

I agree Acriku. The possibility that God does exist, is simply horrifying to me. Truly. I'm horrified by the possibility that I might die and be judged by someone who laid out laws I never agreed to abide by.

we are all biased. Why should we respect other people's opinions then?

Well simply by respect of the others that that also exist, also have feelings and so on. So for the same reasons that you shouldn't make them bad stuff. Everything in a religion is supposed to have a reason and I believe these would be the reasons for Jesus' behaviour.

Is it just me or is there a lot of rejection of authority floating in the air around here? ;)

Hehe, sorry, couldn't resist. :) Anyway, on the actual topic of this topic, I agree with Egeides.

TMA, how could an opinion NOT be biased? It is the very nature of an opinion. Your opinions aren't just baised to your perspective, they're completely based on it. That's what makes them opinions. Your thoughs. Your perspective. Your bias.

If you want to know what i believe and why i'd very strongly recommend reading at least the first part of When life is over by Rick Jones. and what i cansider to be almost irrefutable logic, and things for even some of the sharpest of critics.(you can read it free online!)

What if there based on the Bible? Assumeing it isn't in any way, how would that be?(you asked how could they not be)
