well it's starting in less than a week, Denmarks first game will be against.....the US of A ;D I'm very much looking forward to it allthough I fear we will get smacked there will allways be a possibility that they underestimate us. our national coach was asked if he honestly believed we had a chance of winning :P if he didn't,then why the hell would he send the players out on the ice? Anywho, I'm cheering for Denmark and my fav national team Canada.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

5-2 Denmark beat the USA with 5-2. In the first period the US had 23 shots of wich 1 found the way to the goal. excellent keeping by Peter Hirsch (95,5% saved). Denmark had 5 shots of wich 3 of them found the goal.

Switzerland just ensured Denmarks advancment from their group play by winning against the US too, if Russia win against the US on Tuesday, the may be moved down to the B-league....the USA in B-league holy crap

USA, why should they won everywhere? But good work, 5:2 against homeland of most NHL is nice result...for Denmark ;D

Anyway, Jozef Stumpel just shot our third goal to Japan! SVK-JPN 3:1

it's a GREAT result. A damn shame we got whooped by Russia though, we were to bold and they showed us who's in charge. but only 1 goal in first and 0 in 3rd period is still good against Russia IMO

yea congrats mate, they took a hell of a beating. As for switzerland Denmark HAVE to win, if we do so we will take points with us in advancement. Can't wait to see Denmark - Canada and Tre Kronor.

I was talking with my friend about the World Cup and he mentioned that the record number of goals scored against one team was 47-0 which was a game between Canada and Denmark. Does anyone know if that is true?

All I can say is Go Canada!!

Also are NHL players playing?? I seen Sundin playing and wondering since certain players are out of playoffs can they go to these tournaments in the middle of it?

some of the NHL players are playing. And yes Gob I think I know who the victor of that game will be, but Denmark stays in A-League and the USA heads for a relegation round, having lost all their games in this world cup.

No. But long time was. In 80's was a match with about 54 goals on one side, but I don't remember who played. Record has Kazachstan, which decimated Island in B-group of WC 18 in 1997 (I think). 63:0...

this one needs a bump

Denmark - Canada 2-2 w00t w00t

and I guess the US had been given a little speech by their coach before beating Slovenia 7-2.

a secret only Gob must read this no one else so please turn away and leave

[hide]last time we played you only won 2-1, slowly but surely we will turn that and next time it'll be 2-1 to us and next time again 47-0 to us, trust me. Go put your money on it, it'll be worth it[/hide]

not much of a keeper of secrets eh. anywho I'm very much satisfied with the results so far. I didn't see the game (was working) but had one record it for me, and I understand that it was well deserved that it ended with a draw.

Still I'm hoping for Canada in the finals there for we let you draw, instead of winning against you.

See this: we've beaten Finns in their homeland sanctuary 5:1! They fully lost power, in last three minutes they'd played powerplay, so we shot two goals into empty net ;D
