Quite frankly, I also incline to believe that the US government was involved in the 9/11 attacks. That being said, however, that web site IS highly extremist, so I wouldn't really trust any news they post. However, this is a picture, not a piece of news. And not only that, but it's a perfectly believable picture. Or do you live under the impression that all American and British troops are saints?

Edit: Btw, the prisoner is moving his hand. So no wonder it's blurred. ::)

The problem is Edric, is the captions are missing. You even mistakenly thought the person was American. You were wrong. You have no idea what is going on in the picture, but you still posted it with wrong captions.

The joke about France wasn't funny. Neither was it slightly amusing. Nor was it particularly insulting because it was just plain stupid.

And as for the picture... looks fake to me. In which case absence of captions matters nothing.

The resolution of that picture is an immediate red flag. If that were taken with a digital camera, it would be VERY evident. If that were scanned from a photo, it would also be very evident as we would be able to see the surface of the photo, the glossy effect, pieces of dust or scratches etc. De-pixelated or bluring pictures is a very common proceedure used to cover up tampering.

Now you think the US is responsible for the 9/11 attacks??? Man, you really will believe anything as long as it condemns the US...

What do you mean now? I've been considering that possibility for a very long time. Since a few months after the attacks, in fact. And if you look at some old topics about Bin Laden, you'll see that I posted about it before.

I'm not saying that the hijackers were working for the US government. That's ridiculous - no one kills himself for money. What I'm saying is that perhaps Bin Laden was still on the payroll of the CIA (especially since he was originally trained by them), without any of his rank-and-file terrorists knowing about it. After all, 9/11 is the best thing that ever happened to the Bush administration...

Haven't you noticed by now that I'm quite paranoid? :)

Still, I believe that's a good personality trait to have. In the modern world, not trusting anyone is a very wise course of action.

I'm open to all possibilities, no matter how unlikely.

Paranoia is a good trait? Well, it is good to not be naive, but there must be a balance of the two. When it becomes an obsession and affects your social life, it becomes a problem. If you can't get help at Charter, please...get help somewhere :)

I'm only paranoid about people in positions of great power, because power always corrupts. And as much as I wish that my social life consisted of talking with George Bush and Jacques Chirac over a cup of coffe, that's not exactly the case. ;)

And look who's talking about obsessions! The world record holder of Most Anti-Religious Topics himself! ;D

Oh please edric, I made around 10, whoodie friggin do! This is a religion thread (and politic, and philosophy), so I'll post on religion. Oh, but gob has an obsession with the iraq with his many posts, links, and threads, right? ::) I am active in exposing the deliriously maniacal fallacies of organized religion, when it affects my social life (which is pretty good at the moment) I'll call you ;)

the slave to Christianity speaks again. You can deny your status of servitude, but it only tightens the grip on your chains.

Empr, you defined slave of christianity as ones who counter christianity. You counter as much atheism. How do you define yourself face to "slave of atheism"?

lol hardly. believe you me, i don't give atheism hardly a glancing thought throughout my day unless I come to a place like this and see a poor helpless Christian slave like Acriku that I feel bad for. I live my life FOR something, Egeides. I do not waste it by living AGAINST something. That is sad, and it hurts me...it really does hurt me, to see someone (especially one who believes death = cessation of existence) waste so many precious ticks of the clock entangled in something they call a sky pixie. It really is a sad thing to me.

Interesting empr, because I have explained before that besides on these forums I hardly give Christianity a thought. People say to me at work "Thank god my sister survived through that." And I reply, "Amen to that" with a smile. Didn't know we had a lot in common emprworm ;)

OPERATION "LITTLE FRENCHMAN"

1. Send in a small contingent of US civillians dressed as combatants. This will have the effect of scaring most French opposittion to surrender. Send in groups of 20, each with one actual US Soldier. Boy Scouts can go in as combatants and earn extra merit badges for every white flag they count.

2. For every regiment that lands on French soil, a small contingent of grandmas with sewing materials should be constantly knitting white flags to make available in the center of town squares of each city encountered.

Take Chirac into custody. Feed him cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and american pizza for a week, while watching videos of George Bush speeches and American bodybuilders wearing red-white-and blue speedo's who flex their muscles and say "AMERICA! AMERICA!"

Mission Successful.

LOL I havent read any replies yet except the first 3-4 and noone liked it. I thought it was hilarious... especially the body builder part ;DROFL ;D then of coarse poisoning that poor frenchman with our american food. Quit being so uptight you guys and laugh, YOU KNOW ITS FUNNY!

Oh yeah, its only funny if its about america i forgot ::)

I thought it was hilarious. Did you write it emp? It took irony and pun to an absurd level. I especially liked the part about boy scouts earning merit badges...

From knowing emp for so long I can tell you that he did write it. I thought it was hilarious(as far as a political jokes goes since im not into politics much). Personally i thought the part about the Bodybuilder was the best, and to top it off 'flexing their muscles while saying "AMERICA! AMERICA!". ;D thats just great ;D the only thing that would make it worse would be Ron Jeremy :P
