not literly their event horizions growing larger. But the more mass they suck in the more matter that can be sucked in. The size of the black hole dosnt grow, but its reach would.

but, wouldn't time be a problem for it though? Since black holes consume light, and can destort the space time continume. IE if you see a ship in the grips of a black hole, chances are its been their for thousands of years.

If this supermassive black hole were to consume everything. Then wouldnt time just mearly...Stop?

Maybe once it has "sucked" in everything, it sucks itself in, folding itself in until the reactions go ka-blooey and the matter is scattered once again.

okey didn't think that you guys would be that curious about the flat universe thing. well I'll read that article again and tell you as soon as I am done.

(it is actually quite logical to think the earth is flat)

I also read about another big bang theory it was the most interesting article I have ever read. I wish I could find it on internett to show u guys

It is not logical, all a person has to do is get a good telescope, look over the horizon, and if the land seems to "stop" all around you, then it's logical to believe that it's round.

Ah but the event horizon, and the other parts of the black hole are consumed. then the black hole itself would colapse, as it would have nothing to consume. I guess it would collapse apon itself in its final act of hunger. And once that happend the matter inside would finaly be alowed to escape, as nothing would be crushing it further.

alowing it to rush out in a massive bang slam spectacular escape thingy.

Sort of like a metal spring (like those in some pens and pencils), you push down hard, and when you let go it goes back to its normal state but with great speed.

This forum is for discussions not meant for other forums, if PRP forum had science in the title, then yes it should. Since it doesn't, it shouldn't. Even though there are scientific thread in there. I IMed Gob saying it was pretty strange that evolution was being discussed in a religious forum.

here you go, read why universe is flat:

A baloontelescope called Boomerang(you can try to search for it) made some measuring and found the light right after the big bang. The pattern in that light(sorry that I can't scan the picture of the light pattern) shows that the universe is flat, and also many other things, but that would be way to much for me to translate.

The light is not distorted, which means that the universe is flat. There was two other possibilities as well: Closed or Open universe, but then the light pattern would be different.(too lazy to explain how it would be then, and that anyway is uniteresting in this discussion)

so you see the universe is flat...there was also something about inflasion(if that's what it is called in english) which had something to do with this.
