So very, very pissed off at the CBC.... Monday, March 16

Not sure if this should be in this forum or the politics forum, but I think it fits either.

I am so very, very pissed of at the CBC. They are making a movie-of-the-week based on the Walkerton E.coli tragedy (which, ironically enough, I just alluded to in the "Time" thread). It's absolutly horrible! Check it out for yourself: http://cbc.ca/betrayed/synopsis.html

Making a melodrama out of it, just pisses me off. Documentarys: Fine, it's been done, no problem. Docudrama's actually focusing on the events or the actual people involved: Fine, no problem. Making it into a melodrama and having it take place in a fictional town while still promoting it as being based on Walkerton: Unacceptable.

It's the fact that it is completly fictional and they merely attached the name "Walkerton" to get ratings that angers me.

ok, like making a movie about terrorists attacking a building and saying 911 or something when it is not about that at all.

link is working now for me.

you know they are working on that right?

no I didn't..I'm sure they will make the americans look so proud etc. and all the emotional stuff to get ratings, play on american feelings and such.
