I have noticed that in general, notice that i said IN GENERAL,that there are many people who seem to fall into the various freudian defense mechanisms. This includes all philosophies, politics and the like. Now days it seems to create a rift between us individuals. From father and son, brother and sister, and friend to friend. I mean I hear christians judge one group but do exactly what that group does, I hear non religious groups attack religious groups hypocritically. I hear politicians say that the people opposite of them are completely wrong, but are just as bad. It seems to be a thing where we want to always be dominant. I do it a lot but I try to come to my senses. I just want to say sorry if I have been a jerky stick to any of ya, I learned that I can be that way, but at the same time these defenses also make us weary of talking about important issues.

so many emotions in the world and we cannot control them. we need to relax but it is so hard now days, anybody know what I mean?

It's what people do, and there are quite a lot of them around. Still, we must avoid looking at things from one angle only.

And I think that you are probably one of the most objective people around TMA :)

It's much easier for people to be closed-minded and just assume that they are right and the other person is wrong. (ie)I don't understand how christians, who are supposed to love their enemies and be peaceful and stuff, are pro-war.

I would disagree. Most, if not all, Christians are anti-war. However in some cases it is required.

I know quite a few christians that are pro-war. I realize that war is neccessary at times, but these people are saying things like 'We need to destroy the Iraqis.' I do not believe that that is the point of the war, but it seems that some do.

It's the case for anyone and everyone gets caught... except me ::)

I guess the bouddhist way to look at things, being detached from them, is pretty much what is concerned here. I read from an artist that it was exactly the same in music: being detached to be technically good, but be conscious of it to have the ferver.
