I have just finished this great book The Hot Zone by Richard Preston, which any virus fanatic would enjoy...

This book starts out talking about Charles Monet, one of the first reported cases of Ebola, and moves on to talk about people who he spread the disease to... and then moves on to talk about Peter Cardinal, a small boy with a case of Ebola Zaire i believe, and also talks about several other outbreaks of Ebola in Africa...untill it moves on to talk about a fairly recent incident in the United States, in Reston, Virginia. Where an outbreak of ebola occurs in a monkey house there... most virus fanatics have probably heard about it, it fortunately was never really got hold of by the media, to make a country wide panic or something, mostly because the media is too stupid to walk around the back of the building....

anyway, anyone that enjoys reading or studying about viruses i would highly suggest that you read this book, it is one of the best i have read. In fact i liked it so much that i am trying to get a hold of another one of Richard Preston's books entitled The Cobra Event

Has anyone ever read, or heard of this book?

I've never actually read the book, but I have heard about it and have researched about Ebola a whole lot. I pretty much know everything about it, cause I selected it as the topic for my school research paper with the purpose to find possible ideas about a cure.

I have just started this book. Man, already on the tenth page, there is a person coughing up his guts from his mouth and making a blood puddle on the floor. I'll hold off till earlier in the day till I continue reading ;D
