Why was there not a Dune Messiah miniseries???

Dune Messiah and Children of Dune have been compressed into one miniseries. The first episode will cover what happens in Dune MEssiah, the second and third will deal with Children.

Lol. When I read that, I thought of Raplh Wiggum calling Ms. Hoover "mommy", and Ms. Hoover saying "I'm not your mommy, Ralph". ;)

Anyway: I knew Messiah was included, but I thought the new mini was also three episodes? If so, how much of it is Messiah?

first episode consists of dune messiah, then the next two consists of CoD. So i have heard. when you think about it CoD has so much more to talk about.
