TMA_1
yup my mistake, I know about the arena fighting though. He always fought against an opponent with unfair handicaps.
Vanguard3000
Yeah, his opponents were always drugged with the Elacca Drug. That, and Feyd had two knives: One poisoned small knife, and one "pure" big honkin' knife. The opponent only had one, I think.
TMA_1
yup I remember more clearly now, he would slash with the poisoned knife to slowly paralyse his enemy, then slash him down.
Caid Ivik
Paul was the one used to shield fighting. In the other fight with Feyd we see (his 100th kill), he wasn't using shields. Paul, on the other hand, almost lost to Jamis because he would slow down his strikes because he was used to shield fighting.Paul had problems with Janis very soon after he even land on Arrakis. He improved his fightning skill without shield next two years of terror against Harkonnens. Feyd fought only with slaves, not with their best warriors, which were on Dune - losing to Muad'Dib in fights for Dune. Also he was a Kwisatz Haderach, so he had better reflexes. Maybe in genetic line they were equal, but Feyd wasn't two years under straight spice influence.
stilgar
Does the 2 years of spice exposure realy justify the greatly superior speed and strength that paul had aginst feyd personally i think it had to do with the weirding way that his mother taught him when he ws young

Spice hastes mind. And mind hastes body.
Vanguard3000
Caid: Paul killed Jamis before the two years had passed, if I'm not mistaken.
Colonel_Worf
Oh, yes... it was way before 2 years.
Anathema
Yes, the fight was shortly after Paul and Jessica arrived at Sietch Tabr.
RedOculus
The part you are missing about the encounter between Paul & Fenring is prescience. The prescient cannot see other prescient people in their future sight. Paul had the edge on Fayd because of his future sight. Fenring was close enough to a Kwisatz Haderach to be invisible to Paul's prescience so the outcome of a fight would be a complete unknown for both people. There are two legs of the Kwisatz Haderach breeding program which converge in the birth of Paul. Given that Fenring was part of the same breeding program, it's almost certain that they are related. Given their age it is likely a close relation.
