What are the effects of smoking pot that you are aware of?

side effects that I have experienced:

red eyes

cotton mouth

Short term memory loss( you only have trouble remembering things WHILE YOU'RE STONED )

'Munchies'

Paranoia(when i first started smoking and was scared to be caught by my mom and such)

Slower reflexes(somewhat)

Over the last year of smoking a lot I have become less social with people who dont smoke pot(or party)

Music and videos look/sound better

On some websites some claim that other side effects can be things like increased heartrate, dillusions and such, but Ive never experienced anything extreme like that and niether have any of my friends. The high is definetly much more intense if u don't smoke often so all of the side effects are kind of amplified.

This is pretty much what i think. Silly-weed is a perfect word to describe it. One night what if u feel like getting 'silly' and take 1 hit from the pipe? Your not gonna die!

this is a very poor excuse, you still harm your body.

I also agree that it should be used as often as an occasional drink.

You have a right to your view. but i beg to differ, People have died driveing drunk, People have done a lot of stupid things while drunk, and some get killed.

people can quit with God's help.

Taking 1 puff of weed will hert you as much as eating icecream(saturated fat) or popping your knuckles(causes arthritis(sp?))

What do u mean about my view on drinking? I hardly drink and i never drink and drive. I don't like alcohol much i totally agree with u, and it is very destructive. Pot used in moderation is not bad thing. abusing pot is not a good thing, but too much of anything is not good for you.

When u r tired u cant drive well. If you're talking on a cell phone u cant drive well. If you've got a hyper kid in the car its harder to drive, if ur listening to music.

you don't think sober people get in car accidents? What about someone who drank cough medicine with vicoden and codine in it? or someone who just took some percocet because they broke their wrist. You dont think that is dangerous, or atleast as dangerous as smoking pot and driving? If ur gonna preach about the dangers of marijuana and driving, you should atleast mention other things that are equally or more bad.

actually, Washington State University did extensive testing on driving capabilities of pot compared to alcohol. There is a dramatic difference in the favor of pot. Coordination is not as effected as you might think. They also found the the people would would drive would go many miles below the speed limit.lol

Read those websites I showed you guys, I hear a lot of stuff that somehow pot causes cancer, well it obviously would if smoked, but like I said, I didnt smoke it. I placed ground up buds in jel caps. You didnt get that nasty taste and smell, and it was much cleaner. Also more potent. There is no evidance either way that supports or denies the fact that pot causes cancer. If you do know of tests, what specific cancers does it cause? if you look up on those websites I showed you, especially the first one, they give you all medical info concerning the pros and cons of pot.

GZA all of those things don't make adding pot-smoking to the list any more right. The thing is, we can stop pot from being smoked legally, and stop the accidents and deaths that would be caused by such.

Read TMAs post. Smoking pot only affects driving to the smallest amount.

The reason i compared those others was just to say that you can't just sit and bash on marijuana while ignoring other factors which are equally OR MORE dangerous. But it doesn't affect driving hardly at all so it's not even a worry, i was just saying even IF it did, other common situations are still worse.

Their are more accidents by sober people then people high on marijuana.

I really think you need to specify what drugs you are talking about. Like I said earlier chocolate and coffee are drugs. You have to specify what drugs you are talking about cause saying drugs in general can mean anything providing no real information.

Another thing is that I don't completely understand what you are saying. You mean when you are sick drugs give you a high when your weak so thats a good thing?

I dunno there are many types of drugs and your brief statement doesn't elborate on anything really. Try expressing your view a little more thoroughly.
