Homepage for the Nigeria 419 Coalition. The largest scam in the history of the world.

http://home.rica.net/alphae/419coal/ (this is an anti site, by the way)

The scam is the third to fifth largest industry in Nigeria (the depths of the corruption in Nigerian government is astounding).

I get like 2 scam offers a week! In case some ppl never got a scam offer, it goes like this:

You get an email with the subject URGENT or something like that. Then you get something like this:

We want to transfer to overseas ($ 152,000.000.00

USD) One hundred and Fifty two million United

States Dollars) from a Prime Bank in Africa, I want

to ask you to quietly look for a reliable and

honest person who will be capable and fit to provide

either an existing bank account or to set up a new

Bank a/c immediately to receive this money

yada, yada.

The thing with this scam is that they will actually read your replies (since you might reply with a YES, your replies are read by someone)

Well I composed a reply that I cut and paste and send to all the scammers:

"Sure I will take the money.

But before I do, there will be some transfer fees you will have to pay. You will agree to the following terms:

You will pay all bank transfer fees (you are the millionare, not me)

You will pay all incurred costs, all travel expenses.

Any money that is 'dirty' or needs chemical treatment- YOU will pay for that treatment.

I will pay nothing...NOTHING...ZEEERRROOOOOO!!!!

Any transfers of money will be from YOU.....TO ME. *NEVER* the other way around.

Once you agree to those terms, I will accept your money.

Please respond and we can begin the transaction."

lol thats funny. you almost scamed the scammers. ;D

My mom signed up for a bunch of free sweep stakes. kept on going from site to site never giveing out any credit card information.

Never won hardly anything, Someone added a small bill to the phone. (which fortuently we was able to get out of) And lastly, she got over 100 emails. of what she "could have won" and to "try again" mostly lol.

I know a scam when i see one about 80% of the time.

There are also scams on a kids game neopets.com A shame someone would do such a thing to a young kid.(but no with real cash)

Back on topic about Nigeria. :)

You have not gotten this scam for the last 30 years stop your lying ;D. I have known about it for years but in the last 4 years they must stepped up there scamming. First it started out in my fax machine every so often I would get that letter then it was like an explosion it started appearing more often. I never gave the letter any attention never thought about sending money but to hear how many people actually were deceieved it's amazing. I mean come on if you receive a letter like that do you not have the common sense to know it is fraud? Anything that sounds too good to be true usually is too good to be true.

{grumble, grumble} Emperworm I know that hence the 'face' the grining yellow face. Relax where is your humor damn uptight Fed2k posters ;D.

well i have a sense of humor, though I admit I am on guard in these forums as most ppl in here have expressed their dislike of my points of view. as such i am unable to always tell if someone is joking, or if they are serious.fragend015.gif
