Is anybody here into film? I love it! I am talking about current and classic film. I saw adaptation just a bit ago and bowling for columbine yet again. Anybody here a real film buff? If so, what kind of movies do you like and what are your all time favorites? Also waht do you think is the most underrated movie in your opinion.?

I'm not really a hardcore film 'buff', but I can appreciate a good film once in awhile. My personal favourite is American Beauty, I was splitting my sides laughing when I first watched it. I love the part where the wife is repeating to herself:

"I will sell this house today, I will sell this house today..." ad infinitum.

Then at the end of the day, when everyone has gone after inspecting the house and not signing up to buy it, she breaks down in tears, and then slaps herself silly, screaming:

"Shutup, shutup! Shutup!!"

I was rolling. :D ;D

There is no movie that I consider to be underrated, for now. Maybe I should watch more films. :P

I wouldn't say I'm a film buff per se, but I do really enjoy some movies. Blade Runner is one of my favourites.

Anyway, I saw Bowling for Columbine was good. I wouldn't say their depiction of Canadians was totally accurate, and some of the arguments lacked sufficient proof, but it was really good satire.

I loved the part where that bomb maing guy puts the loaded gun to his head and starts playing with it, then puts it away.

Michael Moore (that's his name, right?): So you always keep this gun with you?

Bomb maker guy: Yeah, 'cos there are some real wackos out there!

I'm not a film buff, but I really never turn anyone down when inviting me t watch a movie with them :)

My favourite film, i think, must be the lord of the rings 2. That was just awesome because I love medieval stuff.

Well, guess I'm the only film "buff" here then. I rent movies at least once a week. I see one, on the computer, on the TV or in cinemas each (damn) month, since I don't know when. I even got plans to become a movie director myself. My favourite film... hmm... I don't really know. First I thought it was LotR: Fellowship, but now I really don't know. Matrix is of course high up on my list of favourites hehe....
