I wonder why the organizers of the annual World Cyber Games (Emphasize on _World Cyber Games_) didn't even bother to include any Westwood game? I dunno, as a fan of Westwood games, it kind of offends me... >:(

And if they did include a game (upcoming or current) from Westwood Studios (or the parent company EA), what do you think would it be?

well i only complained in the fact that they dont support their good games like emperor. but htey still do support renegeade right? than thats cool but the only game recently released was earth and beyond and maybe westwood (EA) didn't wanna show.

A question about this topic: Do _you_ guys really know about the World Cyber Games is all about? (Recent history, organizers, nations who joined the WCG, etc...)

I hope you do...and is it possible to petition the inclusion of some good Westwood Games? I hope those WCG people include C&C: Generals next time...

And if you must know, the games w/c are included in the current WCG are as follows:

Unreal Tournament (Possibly to be replaced by UT 2k3)

Quake III

Half-Life: Counterstrike

FIFA 2k2

Age of Empires

Starcraft

For now, that's about it (I think)...I'd be glad to include some of Westwood's games though... ( :'( Waah!! So disappointing!!!)

ah k, i didn't exactly understood what you meant in the beginning. But here they call it just Olympic games :P

and the fact that no Westwood games are included are: They are not by far as popular as the games that are player there. (btw that list is of last year) I think that this year warcraft III will be added, and starcraft perhaps removed. Fifa 2002 will probably be replaced with 2003. Age of Empires 2 is played a lot online, and i don't know for age of mythology, but i'm not sure if it will replace AoE2

But just look at this. Starcraft, Counterstrike, Quake 3, UT, AoE2 are the most played games online, and they all have elite players. Westwood games just aren't played that much online, and to be honest, i think that non of the current westwood games SHOULD be in this list... they just can't match up to Starcraft or AoE2

well, so it was written in the magazine i got. It was held in South Korea

anyway, i do not think that Empire Earth will be the successor, i think that Age of Mythology would be a more logical one. But i might be wrong ofcourse. We'll see... do you know when they start this year?

pah normal games are ok, but scripted games arnt ussaly scripted much, except unit names, and stats, and timer

in diplomacy instend of gas and mineral. There are these little gray things spread across europe, these represent large towns or small nations. each city is worth a certin amount of money.

there for the more cities you control the more money you get when the timer hits two minutes. which means fighting over cities, and territory is alot more imporetent.

its a fun map. i would own you in it though. i am god ottoman turk and a god italy. u can ask 045. :)

i am prety good in melee.....not the best.....but preeety good. i might be able to take you. ;)

I wish that the WCG organizers include C&C: Generals, and as for the guys at Westwood, I hope they'll stick to the original look of the game and if possible, add some better stuff to make it more interesting. It does look good and should be kept that way, if they will change it, add something better or change the units for the better...

If their game gets included in the WCG...think of the promotion it will make...

The reason ww games are not supported, is because by the time enough people are playing them, ww cuts support to the game and tosses out a new one to the dogs. They simply dont have enough of a life span to be worth while. That's why I play ut2k3 ;D
