Quotes: Shaped by Our Environment

Hey, I've been gone for a while, busy with college, and I don't have a lot of time now, which is why I am consulting you.

Ok, this is the question: Does anyone here know of any quotes in any of the Dune books that has to do with a person or peoples life being affected by thier environment.

I need it for a speech, and the first character I thought of is, of course, Pardot, or Liet, Kynes. But I am, as always, willing to take other characters, as I'll just give the quote and say, "Frank Herbert, Dune".

I've looked at sites with Dune quotes but found none about being shaped by our environment or something. Perhaps something about how Fremen were developed might turn something up? Arrakis shaped them to what they are today.

Read Prelude: House Atreides and House Harkonnen, they tend to have a lot of quotes by Pardot Kynes who never stopped talking about the environment. He does also talk about human interaction with environment.

I think Leto II's words and sometimes the Bene Gesserit quotes are useful in that area too.

Maybe you can tell a piece of the Appendix of Dune about the ecology, written by Pardot Kynes.

Then at the end you can tell that people 1000 years from now can wonder the same thing about earth
