is modswapper still compatible with the old versions? If not it is not that big of a deal, this new one seems much much better. Great job Cyborg!

Posted

I doesn't matter if it is compatible. Only the output lgt file of Cyborg's programs count. And if they both are correct. Then Modswapper will agree :)

Frodo, can you send me all the lgt-files you made? I will check them if there are some errors maybe. It would be too bad if there was a small error in all the great work you've done.

You can also use Cyborg's PowerLGT which corrects errors automatically

That's right. My program fixes errors like:

* Empty lines

* WrOnGcAsE spelling in tags. (I don't know if Timen's modswapper is case sensitive, but it makes the file look better :))

* Add any tags you might forgot to add.

What it doesn't correct is spellingerrors in filenames and such.

sure timenn, i will send them to your email, it isn't that big of a file. i really love your new program anders, i am just doing some of the most recent mods released, and it is a breez ;De!

heh, i made a typo, oh well, ill leave it, looks kinda funny. i am just finishing anoth lgt file that took me about 1 min, 30 secs. ;D You are incredible Cyborg.

I don't know it it is case sensitive. I don't know how Delphi 6 does that. But I can test it.

btw, it doesn't even matter if you type <Buildings> or <Bubububuildddiiings} for example. Since that line was only made for a frienlier interface. Modswapper just skips that line

Did you send it to my old adress (timenn@hotmail.com) Frodo?

I will send you my new adress then. But I can still receive at timenn@hotmail.com (I just don't check it much)

Oh so that's why modswapper could read the lgtfiles made by the old thunderlgt. My program has a tag recognition system, so if you spell wrong in one of the tabs, it won't understand what you meant. With the tag-recognition you can skip tags if you're doing manual editing, though. :)

there is a problem anders, not a big one i don't think though. there are more folders that mods use, i just realized it a couple weeks ago when i made the lgt file for ITDG. There is a special folder for Bullets, and a few others, I will tell you the details on MSN this weekend.

Is this the final version? Or are there going to be more updates? I think I must have at least 3 separate .zip files in my Modswapper folder. ::) With this download complete, I guess it will be safe to delete all the previous versions?

Posted

The zipfile here will always contain the latest version.

It will not be a problem to add more tags if that's what you mean.

You will have to tell Timen about this too.

Posted

yeah, he was the one who first noticed it, cause when i was making it, i had to put apollyons bullet xbfs into the buildings folder cause there was no tag for bullets.

Posted

Didn't Frodo update the Modswapper.zip to include Cyborgs editor?

However, I can easily implement a bullet tag. Just say which folder they need to go.

And all previous LGT files will be compatible with the newer version.

You can do it like this now:

<OtherFiles>

bullet.xbf<bulletfolder

<End>

Posted

It would only take me about three minutes or so to add a new tag.

I would only need to know it's position in the lgt file.

Posted

Actually I think it would be an idea to keep <other files> at the bottom at all time.

Why not above <other files>? ???

eheh sorry bout causing problems ;)

Posted

Because old versions of Modswapper won't read beyond the <Other Files> tag.

So it is all compatible. And the order doesn't really matter.

You don't cause trouble. You simply detect lacks :)

that's really no problem cus I can just make a converter stuff, and my program will ofcourse fix everything automatically when importing a file.

But if you say so, then we make the tags your way ;)
