I agree that EBFD is a great game, did not find a better game yet but sadly enough the game did not sell well. :-

and besides I'd imagine it was IG who put that texture there, but Id love to know what its actually for. And the reason I put it here is as most emperor players wouldnt get that this is actually a texture from the game.

I even found the original command and conquer mouse pointers in the emperor textures. Now what they are used for (if anything) I dont know.

i bet they used the standard C&C mouse pictures at start before using their own. So the programmers can work on the game with out-dated/not-to-be-used gfx. As a programmer you are stuck to the gfx, without them you can't do much.
