Then i patched it up to v1.09.When i load a game it either freezes on the loading bar or in the actuall game..(usually 1 min into it or so..)Can it be the Video Card?I tried everything...My OS is XP (SP1 etc)... my Video Card is GF2MX (CPU AMD XP1700)Has this been discused before? Has any one had / have similar problems?Do any of you know hot to fix it?Thanks~
ethan
i'd say your problem is in your OS. its the SP1 service pack for XP that crashes all kinds of stuff. 80% that install it end up formatting.

Nyarlathotep
Have you tried running the game in Win 9x compatibility mode ? If so, what happens ? Does it change anything to the problem you're having ?Fot XP, make sure you've updated all drivers, like chipset, cdrom, ect, ect.

Mafiah
OK, i just tried it with the Win98 modeIt done the following:First i got into the game fine then i loaded the 'training' missionthat loaded fine. Then 3 seconds into the actuall game, the textures flickered (kinda uh..hard to explain ... it went... flicker to bits of white + original textures then back ro normal then little white textures mixed with originals etc..) THEN it restarted my computer...BTW...this happens on BF1942 as well... weird.. Cheers~

Nyarlathotep
Try to lower your desktop resolution. Set it to 1024x768 16 bits (or lower). Yu also may want to try and set it to 800x600. Make sure the ingame graphical settings are set to low and shadows should be off. And try the compatibility mode again.
IxianMace
Try running the game in Win98 compatibility mode, but this time go to your system control panel. Click on the 'Performance' tab. Now click on the 'Graphics' button. Adjust the slider down one notch (move it one notch to the left.) Now try running the game again. If you still encounter problems, try it on the other notch settings. Not sure if it will solve the problem, but I think you should try that.
