  1. Ok people thanks for all of your help. Yesterday my motherboard just STUFED up for no apparent reason. (MY ASUS A7V266-E) so i got a new one Epox 8K5A2+, and that seems to solve all of the problems with all of the games (well so far i played emperor 3 times and for like 2 hrs each time and it went alright) After all the problem was in the hardware part of the computer. (The actuall part of the motherboard which got wasted was the AGP slot... who knows why .... sure got me there..) Oh well... thanks anyways ppls ~later
  2. Lol no i dont have IRQ conflicts i was just too tired to think straight.. and got some stuff mixed up. But no IRQ problems that assured. I have nfi about what it is.. might get a new VideoCard Soon see if that fixes it..or borrow one from a friend..
  3. OK i went to that website. Mmm...well what can I say, some of the stuff there i already done / or just did... Um..what else... and at the end it says put in REM at the end of RUN in ur windows ini.... i dont even have RUN in windows ini.. ;D ;D it .. must be my imagination playing tricks on me or something now.. P.S. I've updated my AGP drivers as well...didn't help much still got into the game loaded the Training mision then it loaded went flickery and it got back to desctop that time.. thanks god it didn't restart at least :O Edit: I took down that IRQ thing that i had there bfr.. i must be too tired ... i clicked on the wrong thing in the System Info. and it gave me all that stuff about Video Card Sharing the IRQ with like 10 diff things.. but then i realised i was looking at the Conflicts/Sharing Tab.. uh uh :- :- :-
  4. I swear the direct X at microsoft website is dodgy... i got it and it just installs it ... but thats it .. it copys files acroos and then gives up or something... it doesnt even reboot ur PC.. uh anyways yeah i got it reinstalled (took like 20 sec for some reason) on the DirectX diagnostic it still says Direct X thingy not found..
  5. ok i have my d-top res at 1024*768 and at 16bit i went into the game turned everything to low (res was at 640*480) and turned all of the "advanced options off as well" Still it just froze and i had to reboot again.. With the Direct X thing is it seriouse? Do i have to reinstall it again or something?
  6. YES i have 8.1 Running and I have updated it as well (like 2 times) and YES i do have all the latest drivers...etc..meh.. Edit: by update i mean i dl 8.1 and reinstalled it over the old one Edit 2: yeah and what is ""DX Setup Parameters: Not found""
  7. OK, i just tried it with the Win98 mode It done the following: First i got into the game fine then i loaded the 'training' mission that loaded fine. Then 3 seconds into the actuall game, the textures flickered (kinda uh..hard to explain ... it went... flicker to bits of white + original textures then back ro normal then little white textures mixed with originals etc..) THEN it restarted my computer... BTW...this happens on BF1942 as well... weird.. Cheers~
  8. rofl well there is nothing visibly wrong with it... i even done all of the tests there.. for no real reason..
  9. Yes but my XP install came with it incorporated.. like in it i didn't actually install Sp1.. it came with XP.. and i have the latest drivers for my Video Card as well..
  10. Ok here is the story: I got emperor and installed it. Then i patched it up to v1.09. When i load a game it either freezes on the loading bar or in the actuall game..(usually 1 min into it or so..) Can it be the Video Card? I tried everything... My OS is XP (SP1 etc)... my Video Card is GF2MX (CPU AMD XP1700) Has this been discused before? Has any one had / have similar problems? Do any of you know hot to fix it? Thanks~
