Krazyorse Posted November 8, 2002 Share Posted November 8, 2002 the ip address is with 1 computer.u could play with 30 nicks on the same cmputer the 30 nicks will have the same ip!and as most of the ip addres of the plyers are dynamic a dhcp srv give address for a short time (i mean 1 week , 2 week .....depend of how many time the administrator allow it) and they are change after this time.so it could be possible , but very extraordinary that a player has the older address of another player...that's why.but u could have a lot of ip addres differents in a month!if there is a lot of DHCP srv and like it's the speedest srv who respond....sorry for english...i could not find all my words...ciao Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
slim Posted November 8, 2002 Share Posted November 8, 2002 i would say when the person played with 1 nick 2-3times and with the other 10... times its ok maybe he had a bad day or something and wanna change his nick on beginning of the month but when he always plays with both nicks then yeah thats cheating for me ... or he plays with 1 nick and get a high rank in the end of month and then he takes another one coz he wont lose points thats also cheating for me ...Thats my meaning dont know what the others think about !!! rigel6669 Posted November 8, 2002 Share Posted November 8, 2002 It will be difficult to check if it is always the same person playing with that ip adress.I also got a family member who plays emperor under another nick but with the same computer, so it will be the same ip adress.I even witnessed 2 guys that were playing under the same nick on the same computer.The guy let his friend play under his nick during his break.When i asked him something he said: it is not me but his friend, he will be back in 20min.His friend had also a wol login nick but they did not want to change every 15min, lol....
