I just got dune II from Timemn's link in the other thread (thanks Timemn!), and I 've been left wondering... this is where all WW's RTS games came from?? Amazing.

BTW, it's a nice game too... but the controls can get a bit annoying considering how easy emperor's controls are...

that's true, but believe me, when i played dune2 i couldn't think of a better way of controlling your units. if i look back to dune2 now i find myself laughing at those controls

The games after Dune 2 were improved but only on the surface I think Dune has been the best game WW has ever made :- :-.

Donno, if you guys already know but it seems that Westwood had much improved their Dune 2 section at ftp.westwood.com. There are much more screenshots, cool nonplayable demo indeed and prob most of original music in .au and .wav formats.

The dates are 2001 but...
