should the deviator work against cymeks or only thinking machines?

Not on the cymeks, because they are partially biological. It should be able to slow them down, to imply that it is affecting them in some way.

how could I do that?? But the cymeks also have A.I. technology. only a few of their units are really cymeks.

and maybe the cymeks should have normal infantry at their side too....

I think cymeks should exclusively have mechs as they have a very biological feel to them.

There should be a Subhouse called Slaves where they come in huge numbers but are really weak. If any have read the book they would find this tentalizing.

The cymeks should be huge and strong, but limited in numbers. And smaller cymeks to be the neo-cymeks, a little weaker but more numerous. And they should be expensive!

The thinking machines usually don't know how to appreciate beauty, but one did, Eramus. But still their houses should be like harkonnen, for simplicity of the mod.

How about putting cymeks with Thinking machines? There are so few of them they aren't really a house, and they are mostly machine anyways, just with human brains. And without the machines they wouldn't be cymeks.

If you do this, then why not make the Zenshiites and Zensunni the fremen? But as a house.

Another idea is to make the thinking machine units, when they become elite rank, to become cymeks? Is this possible?

no i won't change the house. it shall be those I decided now! there are few cymeks, but the cymeks have their own thinking machines, only two units are real cymeks...for now.

I tried to play the mod today. and I thought I'd give it another try.

I have assigned the Ixian windtrap to the cymeks(ordos). but when the AI play as them they will not build any windtrap. how do I fix this?

Did you assign the windtrap just the Ixian Windtrap graphics, or part of it's statistical Rules entry?

I only made the ixian buildable for the ordos house. nothing more. and I removed the other windtrap.

but every time I play skirmish the game just quits after some time

Well, what you should do, is bring back the Ordos Windtrap, go into the ArtIni file, and change the Ordos Windtrap xaf from:

"OR_Windtrap"

to:

"Ix_Windtrap"

It may be different, but I think thats the way the ArtIni has it spelled.

I'll try that. but still the game crashes every time I try to play after some time. I think it must be something they build. because when they didn't build anything at all nothing happened.
