Mod - Atreides/Harkonnen/Cymek

Hey guys. I am making a emperor mod.

I have made three sides Harkonnen, Atreides and Cymeks

it is about the Butlerian Jihad.

The Cymeks don't have infantry, but they do have all the mechs. Minotaurus, Mongoose, Devastator, Dust scout.

While I have given some of the ordos infantry and units to the two other human teams. Like Atreides now have the aa trooper.

The dust scout is kinda the cymek scout, since they don't have the infantry scout.

I probably won't finish it until some time cos my computer is down now, and won't be fixed untill some time.

anyway does anyone have ideas for names for the cymek units and the sides. maybe it should be called something else than cymeks???

well, the cymek should have a $150 stealth dust scout without weapons and a $350 normal dustscout. i think they should have repair vehicles or regeneration at first or secnond level. they should have a little more than 4 vehicles though, or they should cost less and build faster but have the same specs.

Cymaks? Then it should be the Cymek Neo-Cymek, or rephrase that. And a very powerful Titan Cymek.

Wow. thanks guys so much to work on my mod now. You gave me many good ideas for my mod.

and goldeagle, I could surely need some icons. I will send you a request as soon as I found out which new units I need in the mod.

and the cymeks have more efficient building of units, because they are machines.

or maybe the name should be Omnius?

I think you should retexture infantry units and say theyre robots.

nah can't do that. I can't make any new units, only use the original ones, because I am not very good with texture stuff.

maybe I should not have the atreides in the mod, cos they weren't founded at that time. maybe Cymek, League and one other thing, which I do not know.

any ideas?

Not Cymek, thats too limiting - include all the robots.

It should be The League of Nobles, The Cymeks (or machines), and the Unallied worlds. And for a subhouse replacement for the Sardaukar how about the Dragoon Gaurds, the Sorceress', and maybe the Suk?

btw. Unallied planets are not allied, and would therefore not have combined forces

Sorry I thought that if you were making a mod you would have finished it. And the Unallied worlds were the Zenzuni guys, they just weren't allied with the league. Unallied worlds was the league designation. Sorry if I have spoiled anything.

no that's ok. I just didn't know anything about the Dragoon guards.

but I will have to read some more in the book before finishing the mod.

and what I am saying is that Tleilaxu and Zensunni are both unallied with the League, but they are not allied with each other.

This is getting a little bit too complicated.

I think that there should be three houses:

Cymek/Omnius/Thinking Machines, The League of Nobles and the Unallied Planets

should I include the lasertank??

The laser tank should be dragoon unit because it was invented on their planet and they were the first to use the lazgun and shield.

ok, now I dunno what to do. I need three houses. and I have thinking machines and the League of nobles. and the unallied planets are sqattered over the sub houses. so we need something different.

maybe cymeks/league/thinking machines?? What do you think Inoculator?

That sounds good. I have some suggestions for it:

League of Nobles:

Combine all the original infantry to make them up, and include apc's and orni's but no tanks, because they don't really use them. Give the infantry better armor and make their weapons a little better to compensate though.

Cymeks:

Dust Scouts, Trikes, and Ornis. Just take these three units and give each one a different weapon, becauset that's really what the Cymeks are.

Thinking Machines:

Combine all tank units (except apc's) and retexture silver, or grey. Just make them metallic looking.

Subhouses:

Fremen - Zensunni

Sardaukar - Dragoons

House Ix - Suk Doctors (pharmecutical guys)

Spacing Guild - Titans (remnants of original cymeks uses normal quild units. The navigator in the NIAB looks like a brain. But get rid of the maker).

Bene Tleilaxu - Tlalaxu Flesh Merchants

but then there is no need for flame units, right?

and the titans shouldn't be a subhouse they should be in the cymek house.

and I can't retexture so the units will have to stay as they are.

ok, so the thinking machines has got the tanks, the league has got the infantry and the cymek has got the meks, like devastator, mongoose, minotaur etc.

the orni should then be called Kindjal right?

Exactly, glad I could help, and I spelled it wrong, in BJ it's Tlaxu, much shorter. And you could get someone else to do textures. When Frodo's done with ITDG he could probably do it. And GoldEagle, when he isn't banned anymore, is great with icons. And the Cymeks are really kind of controlled by the Thinking Machines. The Cymeks should be independent, having revolted or something. But the Titans, should be a subhouse because they aren;'t necessarily the Cymeks. The Cymeks are the new ones, the Titans should be the originals with extremely powerful units, and as a subhouse because there are only a few of them.

And one of the dust scouts for the Cymeks should have a flame thrower, so to should a variant of the mongoose.
