I have stability issues with the following mods:

The Shadow of Arrakis

Updated Airstrike4

Guild Wars 2.1

With 'The Shadow of Arrakis' and 'Updated Airstrike4', the game just freezes after a while, or exits straight back out to the windows desktop!! Does anyone know what could be the problem here?

The problem with Guild Wars, is the .txt file that is supposed to go in the strings folder. When I play Guild Wars 2.1 without the .txt file in the strings folder, the Mod works fine (except some tooltips don't show up), but when I play it with the .txt file in the strings folder like it's supposed to be when fully installed, the game crashes when loading and I get some sort of 'invalid strings' error message. What's the problem with that? ???

Ok I need some help with these stability issues. Why does my game keep locking up/quiting all of a sudden? ???

well can help you what i found from this when i try

to make a new unit a name the "{" is the problem what

i did to fix it is that i copy from ordos scout then

the "{" was already there so i only changed the unit

name without adding the "{" thats the way you can add

the "{" without that your mod wont work get it?

I started re-doing GW recently and then gave up again

but if u want i can upload as far as i got (the new version just adds a few new textures)

Well that would be nice, but I'm more concerned about the strings problem. It had something to do with the Ordos Dust scout, perhaps an invalid entry was in there somewhere? :P I'd be happy to try the updated version of GW, provided that it's stable. ;D

yes if u want to fix that its quite simple

just go to strings and delete the entire line that contains ordustscout

however in the new version that has already been fixed.

NB: do not build the outpost under ny circumstances!

contains new textures for the Guild and corrino, in addition the ixian xplosive snipers bullet has been changed to a non-conceptual.

includes Funky Kobra Night Fever texture =D

just somewhat

1 of the following may occur:

1 the game will crash

2 the outpost will do nuthin

3 the outpost will seem to be enormous so u wont b able to place it

4 the outpost will think it is a factory so u can upgrade it and set its rally point

That was the case in the Guild Wars 2.1 I think. The outline of the outpost was so weird that it rivaled the structure of the Guild Palace!! The outpost did activate the radar however, and I could upgrade it for 1200 solaris!!! Isn't there anyway to get rid of this or fix the problem? :P

Don't you take pride in your work? I mean, don't you want people to know that you made a mod that is bug free, rather than one that is littered with errors and/or inconsistencies? :O ???

well for a start it isnt "littered" at all

secondly i do take pride in it, especially in the fact that it adds the most original units found in any mod yet.

and im busy u cant expect me to devote my life just to correcting a bug in my mod when i have stuff like schoolwork etc to do.

Not only are there stability issues, but there's also some weird s**t going on with the gameplay in one of the mods. The AI could build an Ixian Mega Cannon with the Superweapons option turned off, and with a Richese Hi Tech Hanger. I think this was in the mod: 'Updated Airstrike4' otherwise it could have been in 'The Shadow of Arrakis'. Anyway, I can't understand how that could happen with no superweapons on, I went as the same house with the same subhouses as the AI player that built the Ixian Mega Cannon, yet I couldn't built it myself!! There's also another mod where the Guild Palace produces lots of Yaks!! The AI kept on pumping them out, but even when I had a Guild Palace I couldn't produce Yaks. They were useless anyway, but good food for Leeches. ;D The Yaks should have been armed or had some purpose. Is there anyway to produce Yaks or build Ixian Mega Cannons like the AI? Or is that preserved specifically for the AI? (Meaning that human players can't build it no matter what, while the AI can)?

it wasn't the Airstrike, we don't have richeese, sadly, they were going into version 5, and as for the stability issues, Im afraid I can't really help you much more on that Mod

Well I was very impressed with 'The Shadow of Arrakis' mod when I first played it, but then consistent crashes in the game while playing to mod made me dislike it somewhat because of that. I'd probably like it much more if it was completely stable, like the way KH2 appears to be.

uh, maybe your video card has problems with the program Vidi or Jacob made their textures with. heck, i dont know, its a guess.

or you need directx 8.1, and im sure you hate the 1.9 patch too.
