is it possible to edit and swap the sounds in emperor?

what format are the sounds?

if ya want to do it youll have to find a way

to crack the CD couse sounds are in the CDs

and you also need a mikrofhon to make your

own sounds

i strongly doubt that the basic unit sounds are on the CDs and as for the microphine ive already got several

i belive the sounds are in a .bag and are in .cmp format

The unit sounds are .cmp which I don't think anyone has figured out the format of. I heard from scorpio9a that they might be similar to the ones from the C&C games but the winamp plugin that Olaf wrote for that doesn't work on them.

The WinAmp plug-in only writes audio, it doesn't read audio.

Only if Emperor uses IMA ADPCM WAV or WAV.

I don't think it does, as it doesn't write anything out when you try it on one of the .cmp files. When I get the chance I'm going to email IG and ask what they used.

heres what you do take a wav or mp3 and put it in a bag with the bag tool found here @ fed2k and then when you open the bag you'll see the option under extract to extract as .cmp

its a hassel but thats how you can get a .cmp ;D

Wait - Have you tried it, though? Because I couldn't find out how to extract the .CMPs to a Wav/mp3, so I didn't try the other way around.

yeah ive extracted the files as .cmp before but i dont kno wof a program that plays the .cmp so i cant test

no iv wrong in that it dont work as .cmp but see my

picture there youll see how to hear that sounds
