hmm that is what YOU think but i think that games should be supported as long as the community is interested in it. For blizzard's starcraft this was very long (actually the community is still big) but that was also the case for ra2. it was quite popular and there was a pretty big community but westwood just drops them like a dead rabbit and moves on to the next game for more money. I don't know if this is westwood's policy or EA's policy but i think it's EA's fault.

Well i agree with Taq buying pirated versions hurts the entire game industry.

I dont like Wc3 that much but i still bought it in the shops (eventhough i had a pirated version aswell).

I hate to bring this to you Taqwa... but Generals will be NOTHING like Emperor. There will be NO Construction Yard, NO Refineries, and most of all NO sidebar! They have changed everything to be just like in Blizzard RTS's.

It will be just like Starcraft in 3D, only with horrible balancing, millions of bugs and rampant cheating. And of course, no support.

Maybe, maybe not, Edrico. It's too early to say all that. I'm just an optimist who thinks that a good company learns from its past creations and makes a better product with each attempt. Emperor was a vast improvement over RA2, so maybe Generals will be an improvement over Emperor. We will soon see.

Some games last forEVER. One that taq mentioned; half-life. The single player is awful comared to what's out now, but my gosh - the expansions! Taq, if you have cable, I suggest you get at least two half-life expansions; Team Fortress Classic, and Counter-Strike. I STILL play them. Not so much CS, I find there are way more cheats and some ppl take that game way to seriously. I'm a TFC addict. I beernade my ass around the map like a flippin concord. I rocket the light classes so fast they don't know what hit 'em. What's not to love?

If this EAP thing is gonna be anything like WW, I probably won't buy CnC generals. It's just SO disappointing to finally kick arse at a particular game and for the makers to stop supporting it entirely. But like I said, I'm gonna wait and see what it's like. If it has the same depth as emperor, I'm there.

no sidebar, con yard, or refineries? (i already knew this). CnC Generals will only sell because of CnC logo, WW logo, EA logo, and gfx on the back.

Ace, yes you kick ass on Emperor, and you are one of the few who would continue to kick ass even if Emperor had a large community. Admit it, though, you picked a poor-selling, unpopular game to get really good at simply because Westwood did a damned fine job in making it. Emperor is one of the best-kept secrets in PC gaming. Generals will NOT be a secret. It will be a best seller. Buy it, Ace, and learn it well so you can continue to teach me great RTS lessons on a more popular game.
