Colonel_Worf
When the newer publications of Dune came out (or any of the sequels for that matter) did Herbert ever add, remove or change anything in the novels?

Vanguard3000
If you look at the print history in the first few pages of the book, there's a copywrite message there preventing the actual text from being modified.
nemafakei
I don't think the author can, else he has to release the book under a different name.
gryphon
Isn't it possible to make some small changes in the grammar and text of the book ?And I have a Dutch translation of all 6 books, the small quotes in between chapters are not translated from the origional English book. Most of them randomly quoted by the translator I recon.
Mahdi
Wioth some major publishing companies, after the author sends his book in to be published, the publisher re-types it and sends back to him a copy of what they are going to publish in order to get the author's ok, this is done with each edition, hence some editions having different spelling and/or grammatical errors.
