Well, according to PC Gamer magazine, Westwood is no longer Westwood. It will be EA Pacific. And I don't believe the C&C creators are going to screw up. No matter what you say about RA2, it HAS been well-supported. RA2 got plenty of patches/new maps, and the Yuri's Revenge expansion is very good--if you like RA2, that is. Abandonment is what Westwood did to Emperor, not what happened with RA2.

Your right about people blindly buying WW games Taq; but your totally wrong about WW giving good support to Ra2 and Yuir's. WW beefed up Ra2 so much that they wound up releasing early just to keep people from boycotting them in disgust. If you don't believe me then read the article i linked about cliff, ww, and chris. When they patched Ra2, TWICE, they didn't patch half of what they said they did. Both patches said they fixed trainer cheats, and they didn't. To this day you can still use the same trainer on Ra2 and Yuri. So that brings up Yuri, Yuri is even worse, cause it's an expansion that doesn't patch the things that the original was supposed to get patched. Thats like a strike two. Then you have renegade, strike three, their out. Then renegade said they patched the nuke/ion bug, but you can still do it, so thats strike 4.

Anyways, there is good news, i just can't/won't give it out yet. There are things going on with EA that may make WW seem like they were vearing the black hat, and EA wasn't in town yet. One things for sure, VTed is gone.

Nav you should be keen enuf to understand that most peope wont be as sensible as

you to boycott WW like you want them too....they are all gonna run out and buy the

next WW ..thing..even if it blows big time like Renegade or RA2....i can say i am

very pleased i DIDNT buy renegade or RA2......but i think Generals will be an enhanced

version of Emperor...and if it is then I will probably purchase it....because frankly

thats what i am interested in....I wont boycott WW but I will be picky about what

I do buy from them (i.e. buying Generals and Emperor and not Renegade or RA2).

However...Generals lacks the Sci-fi element that Emperor has.....I dont know if that is a plus or negative........

I for one will N O T buy any new WW/EA game after my experience with EBFD and Renegade. I'm not asking for any followers, it's just something I feel is the right thing to do.

They screw their customers in a manner that normally a company can't get away with. Just head over to the official Renegade board and you'll see what I mean. Renegade is going to have the same fate as EBFD. I will not buy Generals cause I already know where it's going to end (after a couple of months (if it takes that long) WW/EA will take their hands off and abandon it).

As for the subject, I do not see what this topic has to do with EBFD forum ? Gob has created a Genaral gamin forum, so I realy don't see the problem ?

Yeah, maybe you're right about RA2, Frodo. But at least RA2 GOT multiple patches and an expansion. RA2 is still a fun game--it's the first RTS I ever played, so I had nothing to compare it with back then. One thing is for sure: when I play RA2 I have SOOOO many games on so many channels to choose from, but with Emperor it's often difficult to get a game at all, let alone a decent one where all players have a fair amount of experience and a good connection.
