I think this goes here, can someone direct me to a document that tells you how to navagate to cheking for "new messagees" on this sites IM

The only way i've figured out so far is to look up my name on the list of users, all 34 pages of them  :-[

If you click their profile in a thread you can send them that way. Or if you know their logon name, note not the displayed name you see in threads, then you can just type that in.

For example to send me an IM manually you would go to your IM listing and then click "new message" and type "admin" as the username. You can find out usernames by viewing peoples profiles.

You can figure out what the real login names are by holding your mouse cursor on a name. Then you see in your status bar a long phrase, and at the end you see the login name. So you see with me timenn for example (instead of Timenn

Hmm, I think there is an easier way, but that's the way I do it...

Well somehow there is a "Send IM" right under your name, so that's easier. Probably Gob just put it there.  ;)
