system specs

does anybody know what specs i should have for my computer to run emperor in the higher graphics modes. I have the system requirements beat by a bit with 320 mb ram and 700mhz procsessor. I need to know how much video ram I should have.

I have a AMD T-Bird 1333MHz, 64MB graphics card, 512MB of RAM and I can run it at the highest settings, ie 1600x1200 everything max without a problem.

Also, to lower-end users - the system specs lie! Before I upgraded to my Athlon 1.333 gigahertz w/64 meg video card I was running a PII 233 MHZ w/MMX and a Voodoo 3 2000 card... and I was able to run the game FINE and SMOOTHLY using the medium settings (800 x 600, medium levels of detail, etc.). WW are LIARS.

Neo, was this single player only or in multiplayer too? I think the specs they listed are for multi player... and if you have lower than listed it would still run fine for sigle plaer games but dont quote me on that. ;D

No that works in multi too but I didn't use it as the mouse was a little sluggish.

The box and website says you need a "PII 400" to run single-player (NOT true), and a "600MHZ CPU" to run multiplayer (probably not true either). As I said, for single-player a PII 200 ran it smooth as hell.

I'm still running it smoothly (at the lowest possible graphics, though) without a video card...

I have celeron400 (same as p300),384mb ram(133mhz) and a geforce2 64mb and my speed sucks even at lowest of all settings. But it`s playable.
