nemafakei Posted June 29, 2002 Posted June 29, 2002 Nav, if you're that worried about unfair maps, then if someone has a map they like, ask to play a friendly first, and check that there are no unfair start positions. Then play properly. As for background check, could you explain what your terms are?
VigilVirus Posted November 9, 2002 Posted November 9, 2002 The fun of the game is not the result, but the process. And the harder it is to win, the more fun it is. Destroying a player who has no chance against you in 3 minutes is boring, but playing equally or even losing for the process of 10+ minutes is the best kind of game that you can play.So quit whining about unfair maps, ranks, etc, just play the game.
IxianMace Posted November 9, 2002 Posted November 9, 2002 I agree. I've won 2 vs 2 games on Fishers plain when either me or my ally started on the smallest rock formation on the left hand side of the map that totally sucks, even though I thought I would probably lose. It teaches you how to be more efficient in base construction as well.
atrd3m0n Posted November 9, 2002 Posted November 9, 2002 Nav you are pathetic. Really. he wont play sarb? oh he just joined SKUM yesterday... Watch out Nav!!! :P
Taqwa11 Posted November 9, 2002 Posted November 9, 2002 Nav's Revised Quitting PoliciesAs always, if I don't like something that happened in a QM under 3, h'asta la vista baby!Unfair maps that I have noted in the past, forget-about-it.In addition, if there huge maps with never ending entrances, like the lower-right hand corner of Spice Bowl, I am qutting on you. No more taking losses simply because I am in a grossly and fundamentally unfair position. (And for anyone who says that the bottom positions in Spice Bowl are not unfair to Atreides needs to have his head examined). If you are good and I start on a less-than-ideal position, screw that game. I ain't playing it. No more losing points unfairly due to bogus maps that are compounded by the inability to control harvesting. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(From now on I am doing an extensive background check for EVERY QM I play. Losing 40 + points per game to elite players who just happen to have less points because they only played a few games so far in the month is ludicrous. The maps combined with the harvesting bugs combined with the unfair ranking system and points system will not be fixed by Westwood. I will fix it *my* way. And if you use impossible strats on me with no reasonable counter at all (which will be less-possible now due to my new fairness parameters_ then I will not play you in QM. I believe Nav has no idea how stupid he sounds. Nav's ONLY rule should be: If I am ever in a losing position or someone is beating me, I'll quit. Geez, Nav, I think I could be "number one Atreides gangster" under your rules. I'd just duck anyone good, and disconnect on anyone else if I didn't feel that I had all the advantages in the game. It's no wonder you've DC'd on me multiple times, Nav. You may or may not be superior to me in Emperor, but we'd never find out, would we? You'd just quit if I ever got the advantage. What a loser you are.
Taqwa11 Posted November 9, 2002 Posted November 9, 2002 Not only that, but HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Loser.
Timenn Posted November 9, 2002 Posted November 9, 2002 IGNORE Navaros! And don't put your stupid comments in an old thread. If he gets banned. You should get banned too!
