Names of maps in Data\Maps folder

Maps for "Multiplayer game - Practice" are situated in the folder Dune2000\Data\Maps in files *.map .
For example, file 4play10.map is map Tenaya (XL 6 player) in the game.

Does somebody research all standard maps? Which map correspondent to which file? May be somebody has such table already.

You can use the UI Table Editor from mvi: http://d2kplus.com/uitableeditor.php

This UI Table Editor is interesting thing.

I found some keys there, in text.uib. What does it mean?

It's something interesting: Key7 -- stealth mode, Key4 -- show grid...

Is it possible to use these keys? Does somebody know?

There are *.mis files in Data\Maps folder also. For example, _a1v1.mis. Is this file of mission?

Map Editor works good! Interesting thing! But it works only with map from Multiplayer game. Right? With *.map files.

So where are the files with mission maps? I thought that they are in *.mis files...  :(

.mis files are mission scenario file, they contain the logic for the missions, as well as variables such as tech level money etc. The .map files contain the level layout and design.

Hmm....

Would you like to tell me, if you please, for example, WHERE is the file with the map for 5 mission Atreides?

And what program to use to edit this map? (5 mission Atreides) . Map editor or mission editor?

map editor is used to edit files having .map file extension.. these files contain maps..

mission editor is used to edit files having .mis file extension.. these files contain information on how the mission should progress..

check out fedaykin's videos for help..

Are you using a version you downloaded online, or the CD? If you are not using the CD (for example, you use the Gruntmods Edition), it is usually stored in \(Dune 2000 Directory)\missions\A5V1.MAP
