Greece Building a Wall

Recommended Posts

I wonder how many illegal immigrants are being paid to build that wall.

I also wonder how much the initiative to build the wall comes of an attempt to make jobs for the recently unemployed, much like Hoover Dam.

Necessary measure and not enough. You should be in the center of Athens in New Year's Eve. I passed with my car and I was shocked: It was like Kabul. Other years the roads were blocked with families celebrating. Now full of Pakistani, Afghans and Bangladeshi. Like a big refugee camp...

I think that it really is better to try to integrate illegal immigrants into nations that they physically live in. Walls may act as a deterrent, but in the long run, simply do not work that well. It's better if nations try to get the immigrants working and being productive, and possibly give the immigrants an easier path to citizenship if they have been in the host for some time. There was a law being debated called the Dream Act in the US, but it didn't pass in the last legislative session.

That is impossible under the current circumstances. Unemployment is probably around 25% (do not pay attention to official numbers they are cooked) and companies and factories are closing down. Even if Greece had a flourishing economy it could not hold so many people. Simply we cannot add several millions of people in our a bit over 10M population.

Today the SOCIALIST DICTATORS put an end to justice thus violating the constitution-not that they care for it:

An 1000%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -yes it is not a typo, increase to the money needed to sue someone and an 100% to 500% increase to various court fees. IMO a brilliant idea to combat crime. For sure crime will go down by more than 90% the following months in their scumm fake reports as now one will have the money needed to report to the police and file crimes in which the offender is unknown. Also in cases where the offender is known know it costs less to hire a gang and to solve your differences...

I wonder what will be the reaction of terrorists, who recently bombed the court of Athens on these.

Here is their 'letter' for the bombing (in Greek):

For those bored to read all of it it is of interest that they promise to attack (=kill) all the judges who will find guilty their comrades.

The letter from their comrade who is imprisoned in Nafplio prison:

If UN thinks so then let them feed them. USA and Germany forced Greece to go bankrupt to promote their imperialism. We cannot afford it anymore. What do they want? To allow more inside Greece and then we load them on a ship and dump them into the sea?

When the dictators are overthrown from Greece, the policy that will be followed will be simple:

Greece will open the borders for anyone who wishes to immigrate/seek asylum and immediately issue Greek passports to them.

And allow me to add: Free tickets for their destination.

The journalist got some taste of the dictatorial regime ruling Greece under the blessings of CIA and the World Dictatorship. ;-)

And many more loose their lives when they try to pass through minefields.

And who told you they are Socialists? They just inherited the party leadership from their daddy's... And the party is far from Socialist. Do you live in a different planet? There is only Capitalism and nothing else. Only the puppets and their titles change.

I don't understand what you mean with the phrase 'drive underground'. Can you please explain for the non native English speaking people?

In the southwestern United States, Latino people cross illegally into the US, to find jobs and the hope of a better life. Hiring such people brings such stiff fines and penalties from the IRS and federal government, that it is simply not done. So the people must go 'under the radar', living hand to mouth, seeking refuge. They turn up at shelters, poor and impoverished, with usually no place to live. They have the strong desire to work, but are not allowed to hold jobs, having been 'driven underground'.

I think it would be better just to give them some type of immunity from prosecution, and allow them to work in the USA -- rather than have them turn to crime, or living their bare sustenance lifestyle.
