It adds high resolution modes, skirmish (sort of), easy access to hidden options among other things. See the full list of patch changes. Download the patch from the official page. It's not even remotely close to the Red Alert skirmish (except perhaps when Bases are disabled). Then again, I shouldn't be expecting him to code AI from scratch. Personally I don't like the hi-res mode though (everything looks too small to me), but it's a great step forward, and a living accusation to the lazy bastards at the EA who don't care about the product they didn't make, used it to cash some money and then discarded it like some useless piece of crap.
