Command & Conquer Gold 1.06a Unofficial Patch

This patch, made by Nyerguds, fixes a lot of stuff in C&C Gold. It adds high resolution modes, skirmish (sort of), easy access to hidden options among other things. See the full list of patch changes. Download the patch from the official page.

Impressive, but the skirmish mode doesn't sound interesting enough. It's not even remotely close to the Red Alert skirmish (except perhaps when Bases are disabled). Then again, I shouldn't be expecting him to code AI from scratch.

That is in any case better than nothing. And on the whole, the list of changes is quite impressive. Personally I don't like the hi-res mode though (everything looks too small to me), but it's a great step forward, and a living accusation to the lazy bastards at the EA who don't care about the product they didn't make, used it to cash some money and then discarded it like some useless piece of crap.

Well, the reason they wont touch the game is simple, and EA is actualy doing what other games company's do, so really, there doing what brings them profit, catering for a non profiting community is not in the top 5 list...

gunner154: If you count in the Capture The Flag/Mobile HQ game modes it's still quite entertaining. Oh, and if you play it with Funpark mode enabled, random dinosaurs spawn during the game ;D
