You know, it really is true that we are more of a Dune gaming community than a novels community. I mean, we have more posts in Gaming (which isn't even Dune-related) than in Duniverse.

That was clearly what we started out as, but things have changed greatly over the years. I'm sure we all know that by now ;)

Yes we have changed, and I suppose a fewnpeople that were introduced to Dune through the games have since read the books, and watched the film/miniseries, which is why we've changed.

I have been adding links to this website on the relevant pages of Wikipedia, and posting about it everywhere, and I think it is having some affect.

I came here via a sig link over at DN, and am so far finding this a congenial place. I haven't done any computer gaming for Dune, but I've played the board game extensively. I also play Civilization, and I think somebody over at CivFanatics has made a Dune scenario, although I'm not sure which version of Civ it's for.

I'd be pleased to tell others about this forum, as I've been given a courteous welcome and good conversation. :)

Also nice to mention the website/forum has been around since 1998 with very minor downtime.

Hmm, I wonder if Fed2k is the oldest active dune forum still online? Must be close.

Considering that we had games to help build the community, I wouldn't be surprised if that were to be the case.
