As far as I know, no. It has quite a list of ingredients. Most of the creams I use are quite specialised in application with only a couple of ingredients that serve a purpose on my skin. The steroid creams are actually bethamethasone, while the moisturisers are either aqueous cream or paraffin. I'm trying the paraffin one now, and it seems to be a more... effective moisturiser. But that's just day one. We'll see.

Oh man, I feel you. I have it on the insides of my elbows, used to have it near the eyes(that was truly horrible - imagine what it is like for a pre-teen with that for his self-esteem) - what you probably know is that it is never going to go away, there will be bad periods and there will be good periods.

One thing that I can advise you on - Elidel worked wonders for me. Either Elidel or Elocon, personally Elidel worked for some time but lately it has pretty much over-moisturised my skin causing more irritation/itching, which didn't help much. And it's expensive. But Elocon is really great, I put some on for a few days and it went away and hasn't come back since, which is a few weeks or so. :)

Another good thing in general for your skin is that oil they sell for babies - baby oil, or moisturising oil or olive oil or whatever you want to call it. It embarassed me privately for a bit that I had to use all sorts of baby oil things(don't ask why, I probably just have deep-seated psychological issues :D), but I decided of a pretty nice way to justify its use, after having smoked some marijuana - I just imagined myself as an ancient Greek, getting out of a bath/shower in his villa in the Attican or Laconian or just generally Grecan countryside, on a nice summers day, with slaves working his fields in the distance, and just rubbing himself top to bottom with some olive oil, making his skin glisten and shine.

Hey, it works for me! ;D

But I sympathise with you, and if it helps, I'm pretty royally screwed right now - I got scabies(Little bugs that get under your skin and try to eat it - nasty) quite a long time ago, and since my parents never took me to the doctor(even though I complained about it quite a few times to them), it's gotten pretty bad in the sense that nothing the doctor is giving me is helping. Right now I'm using Permethrin, which is a general insecticide, but I put it on in the evening and in the morning it's even worse, so I don't know what to think...

Anyway, good luck with the eczema! :)

Strangely enough, it's been quite contained from the very beginning - I'm sure it's scabies(since the symptoms and what it looks like fit perfectly with the pictures I've found on the internet), but I haven't given it to anyone else and it hasn't spread anywhere beyond my right hand, on the pinky and ring finger(on and between them). But it is pretty disgusting and demoralising, anyhow. :D Although I've kept my spirits up since after my adventures with mushrooms, LSD, and salvia, I feel much more at, well, "One" with everything, so I suppose that we're even One with all those little parasitic bugs that feed off of us. ;)

And it's nice to be back. After the general activity of the forum declined, and Fan Fiction got to the point where it was getting maybe one post every half-year, I just sort of drifted away. Have to thank the person who started the Bring it Back to Life! thread, and of course all of you who got active again for bringing me back to the Golden Path. ;) :)

Well, go over to the fan-fic board to check out my latest posts!

I thought I had something like scabies a couple of months ago, and it was really painful and annoying!  But it only lasted a couple of weeks, and wasn't contagious at all, even though I was sharing a bed with my girlfriend every night.

Hm, okay. For now, antibiotics and Dermasone are working for me. Pretty extreme medication I'm using, but you only use extreme medication for extreme cases, no?

And welcome back! ;D
