Introducing others to the game

Have you introduced anyone else to this game?  I introduced my girlfriend to the game the other day, and just a minute ago she finally beat a easy defensive AI in a skirmish.  She's getting really in to it, but refuses to listen to any advice I give her, such as building so many light infantry is pointless.

I doubt my girlfriend will be joining these forums, although she does glance over my shoulder occasionally to see what I'm writing.  All I can hear right now is her Fremen being slaughtered.

My friend got pretty obsessed with the game, far more than I was. That's saying a lot.

Actually i got my 8 yr old cousin to play i told him what each unit and building did. After that i put it on hard fishers max ai and let him go. He tried three times before he owned the comp. I guess if i would of had someone like me or someone with the patience to teach i would of caught on fast too. Next i will show him the internet

I'm quite impressed with how she's doing now.  She's about half way through the Harkonnen campaign.  The Harkonnens are a strange choice for a girl though...

Tried to get a friend to play it once.  He kept my Ordos disk to play with at his house and lets just say, I never saw that disk again. >:(

i've never played Emperor:Battle for Dune

i've only played dune 2000 ... could anyone tell me if it's similar

maybe lead me to some screenshots of game play?

Abandonware...I'm not sure, but as far as I know there aren't too many problems.
