Nvidia driver problems

Recommended Posts

Lately, I've tried to run Dawn of War on my computer. Unfortunately, as soon as I get to the Graphics Configuration Utility, it says:

"ERRORS: Spooge driver not found. Verify that DirectX is properly installed."

Now, if I hadn't had DirectX, Dawn of War would not have installed, but I reinstalled DirectX a couple of times with no success. I then googled the error message. Advice from the Relic forums told me to get newer drivers. I tried this, and here is the error message I got:

"The Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."

Any ideas?

EDIT: Oh, and my graphics card is a " Nvidia Riva TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro.

I have same video card and I have been unable to install new nvidia drivers fro a couple years.

"The Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."

I think I get the exact same error. I even point the driver (update driver in device manager via system properties) thing directly at the driver file and it gives me the error that one could not be found.

Is the game newer? It's possible that the card cannot run the new game.
