erjn you dont play the game at all. as for my post about how des ranked some ppl i was just saying that i dont think they are right no need for all you girlies to get your knickers in a twist lol.

I've never felt compelled to rank myself vs others, because in my opinion it shows false arrogance. True warriors wont need to rank themself because their reputation proceeds them, and at the end of it all thats all u got.

With such a small population of players defining rank is utterly useless, all of you know who beats who so whats the point..

I think its more important to be honorable and fair, and if you're a good player you wont need some sort of bs ranking.

yea i agree no ranking is necessary as we all know in our hearts who beats who..... and rankings can be flawed if someone hasnt played in a long time and is unfamiliar with someone.  But regardless people will always be curious and will always post these types of threads till the end of time.

As for erjin's ranking of ra, scar, and pearl as equal.  I guess erjin isnt very familiar with pearl  ;)

hey doompower we arent in the army fighting against the iraqis and taliban we are just playing a game it is just interesting to see how people rank them selfs and what most people think . like someone said its all in good fun we arent looking for medals of honour or nothing . lol

For me, there are several players that I start the game pretty much worrying i'll probably not win.

Some of these players off the top of my head are..Pearl, Apo, Jeff, Mord ,Gun ,Spaze,Harkdawg It's not that I have never won against these guys, because at one time or another I have won against them.

I consider them elites, and if any of these guys team up for a match, My gut instinct tells me I will probably end up having a hard time playing against them, then again I surprise myself sometimes.

Yea i remember the one game where i had a low skilled ally that was like rank 1 ... and you took ggom who is like rank 3-4 and you guys did a good double on me. So sometimes you do take the opportunities when they are there.  Thats a huge part of what emperor is all about...  opportunities that are missed or taken.

From gun's ranking list, at the times when I played this game, believe I was in seventh, but since I'm back I have found myself constantly being beaten by the beatable kalem, leaving me to fall down to rank 5 as I could build the massive army's but now, but I can't get back to the old routine of making  the extra houses for speed as I have gotten used to building one of each building then the next lot to make 2 of each and then the next to make 3 of each. :O 8)

I now need to pass this problem and then I'd be able to get back to my winning ways. ::)

P.S. Here's who I rate as elites at anytime in my reign:

And FYI, we ARE fighting the Taliban incase u didnt pick up on that lol

King, here's what this topic boils down to in a a nutshell. (Aside from Gunwounds well made ranking listings). No one doubts that you cannot play well, and since there is no longer a valid ranking system like there used to be...who really gives a rats ass who is better than who as long as we have good games that are somewhat even teamed. Other than that the only thing I gather from this topic is you seeking praise.  :-

There is not 1 person that still plays Emp today that can honestly say,"I am rank 10 and no other person can beat me ever."  As for my own opinion on you..I don't believe your a new player for a second. I think your an old timer who has just came back that was good before with a new nick.

Why? because you talk smack like most did back in the BC matches and Clan days. I don't buy your "I'm new to this game" Bull*hit for a second. But, like I said that's my own opinion of you.

Well I see things haven't changed a whole lot in the last couple of months. Somebody always seems to take a topic and run it about as far off topic as humanly possible.

I will attempt to get back on topic.

1. I pretty much agree with the ranking system guns posted, and I would probably rate myself as around 7-8.

2. Out of the people still playing the only one I would rate higher than an 8 is pearl. He is the only one I play and think I am going to lose before the game even begins. This is not to take anything away from any1 else, it's just that he is the only one that I would have to admit fear on my part.

3. There are plenty of guys that I would rank along the same line as myself. Ra, Scar(before his time off),mjn4,Gun(who probably puts himself in a higher category), herm(when he isn't experimenting), mord(who I'm positive puts himself higher).

4. The guys who in my opinion are 1 category below only because they haven't shown cosistency with their game...lets not name names on this one, I'm sure they all know who they are.

No slams intended in this post. Just some nerds opinion. :O :-X
