The shows are totally different, so it would be hard to compare, but which television show do you prefer?

I prefer the original version myself. The American version was created to the tastes of an American audiance, our pop culture, our own inside jokes.

I think something was lost in translation though. There was such a genius to the original show, so clever. I myself just cant get to enjoy the new version. How about you guys? which version do you prefer?

actually I prefer the us version which is due to the charcaters.

I just like jim, michael and dwight a lot more.

but you folks know that the us version is also partially written by ricky gervais, the original writer (and main character) of the uk bbc version? so there's pretty much influence from the original creator it would be boring if they were copying every episode in every detail.

there's also a german version of the office. but it's slightly different. it's set up in an insurance company instead of a paper company and also the contents of each episode don't match "the office" but the concept with that funny/unfunny boss is the same. I like the german version the most, not because it's german or plays in germany (hell no, I have so much uk/us tv series and I prefer english in series and movies) but because the actor is so awesome and the dialogues and actions even worse. at the end of each episode from season 2 it says
